In July of 2002 Jim Mather and Tony Palmeri traveled to the Madison Capital Times offices to interview journalist John Nichols. Before the interview, well-known Wisconsin pundit Bill Kraus happened to walk in. Kraus has managed more than 30 political campains, including former governor Lee Dreyfus' successful run in 1978.
