Jane Van De Hey deserves to be re-elected Winnebago County Executive because her record stands as testimony to her service to the people.
As Coroner Jane filled that office always making positive improvements and bringing it up to the highest standard. Jane also brought to that office a caring and compassionate personal interest for those who experienced loss.
Rather than cover numerous achievements in this office, I'll only bring to mind the cry of protest that went out by County residents against excessive PCB dumping in the county landfill. Jane heard and encouraged open discussion, which resulted in a reversal of the original decision. Common sense and safety prevailed.
In this period of time, where elected officials tell their constituents one thing and then vote directly opposite in Madison or Washington, we need to keep those who do listen, and act according to the best interests of THEIR COMMUNITY.
If the people fail to elect those who serve EVERYONE, we will soon have a State being controlled by self serving special interests not concerned with the common person's struggle.
