Jason's In Our Prayers
On January 20, 2003 the Fox Valley Peace Coalition sponsored a "March For the Life and Ideas Of Martin Luther King, Jr." The march started at Grand Opera House Square Park in Oshkosh and traveled down Algoma Blvd. To the UW Oshkosh Reeve Union. Held against the backdrop of an impending war against Iraq, the march became a peace rally featuring many protesters with signs. After the march an informal teach-in was held at the UW Oshkosh Reeve Union. Folk singer Jason Moon performed some anti-war tunes. After the performance, Jason shocked the audience by announcing that he is in the reserves and had just been called to active duty. Let's keep Jason along with all other soldiers and their families and civilians of all countries who may be touched by war in our prayers.
