Professor Jania Aubakirova (left), an internationally acclaimed pianist and Director of the National Conservatory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited UW Oshkosh in April of 2002. On April 16th she performed a solo recital at the UW Oshkosh Music Hall.

Professor Dmitri Novgorodsky (right) of the UW Oshkosh Department of Music appeared with Dr. Aubakirova and Tony Palmeri (center) for a half-hour interview as part of Doug Freshner's "University" program. Dr. Novgorodsky served as a translator.
