Genisio's Open Letter To The News Media
I call upon the news media to look at the following quote in Representative Underheim's brochure:
"Gregg has done a fine job following the state of Wisconsin's tobacco settlement . . . making sure that the money is being spent as intended."
This statement is intellectually dishonest. It simply is not true. You know it. I know it. Underheim knows it.
Because it is a quote from someone else does not matter.
If someone writes that I have a Ph.D from Harvard that would be a false statement. If I knowing it was a false statement included the quote in my brochure I would be responsible for including a false statement in my brochure. It really is that simple.
I ask the news media to hold Underheim responsible for the false statement in his brochure.
