Ed Wilcox: Who is the racist?

December 18, 2002

The liberals who will use any racist claim they can conjure up for political gain.

The Lott who said and meant nothing about race but did the next day explain that conservative economic values are what that was about. I saw and heard him say it in the interview but it was never repeated in the media. The liberals did make up their own line of meaning and have continued to hammer the liberal line continuously. Lott knows it was taken wrong and some unknowing people were hurt so he apologized. The sad truth is that if conservative economic policies had been followed the destruction of poor families never would have happened under the liberal free living. The liberal free living destroyed two generations of black families and that is racist. I have seen many interviews where black people speak about that and they are plenty mad and claim liberals did it on purpose to get votes and power. Too bad Lott is too nice a guy to blame liberals for causing the problems he referred to but never listed. The biggest problem stems from the meaning of liberal. My 1936 dictionary, dating back to when liberalism was becoming a political agenda, says liberal means loose purse strings, this is good if it is your purse but the working family has to fill that liberal purse whether it is the government purse or the purse of the rich. Those loose purse strings ultimately provided a free living for making babies and this destroyed families. This liberal agenda destroyed poor families who were already climbing to new heights and robbed working families all for votes and power. This is the meaning which Lott cannot communicate because the media cuts that off and inserts the liberal racist line and any apology they can find.
