Athens, Greece

The Olympian City

" Athens, the eye of Greece, mother of arts and eloquence"

John Milton (1608-1674)

After leaving Paris, we will take a flight to Athens, Greece, which will be our home for the next two weeks. During this time, Dr. Minniear will begin the first half of Culture and Values: An Introduction to the Humanities which will concentrate on the contributions of the Greeks to Western civilization. Numerous site visits are planned, including Mycenae, Corinth, Epidaurus, Olympia, among others. A highlight for many will be the Greek Orthodox Easter week ceremonies leading up to the celebrations of Easter on Sunday, April 8th

For more information on accommodations and activities in Athens, consult the Program page "accommodations" and "itinerary."
