Our semester course of study includes up to 16 credits of courses
selected from the UW Oshkosh curriculum. The course descriptions below
appear in the UW Oshkosh Undergraduate Bulletin 2005-2007.
Prerequisites for some courses are listed in the
Bulletin. However, under certain circumstances, these prerequisites
may be waived by the course instructor or the Department Chair. Please

LIBSTDS 200 (Liberal Studies) (HU
3 cr.)
Culture and Values: Introduction to Humanities
introduces students to various important art forms and begins the
interesting process of developing a workable definition of the humanities,
especially through the disciplines of philosophy, literature, music
and art. Students see how the humanities are related to important
social issues and to their own individual concerns.

LIBSTDS 307 (Liberal
Studies) (HU 3 cr.)
Encountering the Arts is an interdisciplinary
study of the arts in which relationships are drawn among music, visual
arts, literature and drama. Students gain insights into the various
artistic expressions of human feeling, their distinctive relationships
and individual qualities. Significant cultural patterns that have
influenced the arts in the Western and non-Western world are explored.

GEOG 331
(Social Science) (3 cr)
European Geography presents a topical
analysis of Europe emphasizing the distribution and interrelation
of major physical and human features, including landforms, climate,
vegetation and soils, population, language, religion, economic activities,
settlement patterns, and political organization.
