Solubility and Precipitates
Not all chemicals are water soluble, but increasing water temperature
often increases solubility.
In the photo below, underground silica (SiO2) was dissolved
by extremely hot water, then carried to the surface by geysers and hot
springs.
As the water cooled on the surface, solid silica was
