Philosophy of Music Education Statements
by students at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh
Dr. Kenneth L. Liske

If you know where you are going you are more likely to get there. Our statements of philosophy and professional purpose reflect who we are and what we believe to be most true and right at each point in our careers. As groups and as individuals, UW Oshkosh Music Education students have explored the issues facing music educators of the past, present, and future. Each has a vision of his or her role in the profession. Each has set forth beliefs, defined the values they will choose to demonstrate, and set goals for professional growth. Click the names below to read philosophy statements. Use your browser's "back" button to return to this page to select a new statement.
