SESSION I
HANDCHIME CLASS


COURSE DESCRIPTION
Handchimes and English Handbells: This is a musical performance class meant to explore the elements of music (rhythm, melody, harmony, timbre, texture, form, and dynamics) while learning to play handchimes and English Handbells. These instruments have a rich tradition in Western culture as tools for group expression in music. A variety of musical styles will be included.

MUSIC COMPOSITION CLASS


COURSE DESCRIPTION
Music Composition: An introduction to tonal harmony and the basic composition tools of Western music including melodies, chords, and scales. Opportunities to explore music fundamentals and create simple compositions for the web using computer-based applications will be included. Requires only a creative mind!
