Course Descriptions:

 

Focuses on the decision making process of financial institutions such as commercial banks, savings and loan associations, credit unions, and life insurance companies. Key topics are asset and liability strategy, the legal environment, taxation, financial innovations, and the role of financial institutions in capital formation. The student will be provided an opportunity to make decisions similar to those made by managers of commercial banks through the use of computerized bank management simulation game. In addition, the student will have the opportunity to explore current international banking topics via a memorandum assignment.
