                                Careful transition planning can open many doors for students with
                                disabilities.  Starting by age 14 the student's interests, skills,
                                and abilities can be used to map out a road that will lead to a
                                successful and fulfilling future.  Whether the student's goals
                                include continuing education, work, or independent living, teachers,
                                parents, and students can work together to make sure that all
                                high school experienced lead toward accomplishing that goal.
