The University of Oshkosh Wisconsin Technology
Leadership Cadre (TLC) is funding by a grant from The Department
of Education's Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to Use Technology
(PT3). The program addresses
a growing challenge in modern education: nearly all elementary
and secondary schools are now "wired" to the Internet,
but most teachers still feel uncomfortable using technology
in their teaching.
The TLC is a group of 10 education students
who have shown a desire to become leaders in the use of technology
in the classroom. The students have attended workshops and trainings
in order to then share the information they have learned with
fellow educators. The cadre has developed tutorials and workshops
on a variety of topic and it's members are available to conduct
sessions both at the university level and in area public schools.
The members of the TLC are also available for consultation on
specific projects.
This TLC web site has been developed as a resource
for both student teachers and teachers who are already practicing.
The site was developed by TLC members with the help of Sean
Ruppert of the UW Oshkosh Presentations Lab.
