Topics include Special Education Information; Information about special education history, events, interventions, etc.; Resources on the Internet; Internet resources about special education and disability; Categorical Information; Links to information and resources arranged by categories of disability; Professionals in Special Education; Pictures and e-mail addresses for some professionals in special education; Parents; Information for parents of students who need special education.
Noteworthy points here are the state job listing and the latest bulletins with updates on department policies. Under the "information" page are a long list of links related to creating web pages. A range of products and publications. Includes some shareware and freeware computer programs that can be downloaded directly from site. Especially noteworthy is the ability to subscribe to LD reader, a biweekly publication sent via e-mail that often has interesting items. Topics at site include Learning Disabilities Resources, The LD Reader, More Lists and Resources, Learning Disabilities Articles and Essays, Macintosh Software, and Learning Disabilities and Writing.
Nice site for breaking information about education topics. Includes access to some articles from both Education Week and Teacher magazine. "The Daily Report" includes education articles from places such as USA Today (note: you will receive "cookies" from here).
