The reading specialist/reading room program is two-fold. Four 1st grade students are served in a 1-to-1 tutorial program called Reading Recovery. Students in grades K-3 are served in small groups in Guided Reading.

Four new students just entered the Reading Recovery program. They are growing as readers and learning to be strategic. Their series of lessons will last approximately 20 weeks. At that time they will be tested. They will either discontinue or exit, and then four new Reading Recovery students will be chosen for the remainder of the school year!
