CALL FOR PAPERS
WISCONSIN PHILOSOPHICAL ASSOCIATION
(To download this Call for Papers (pdf) click here.)
The Annual Meeting of the Wisconsin Philosophical Association will be held
on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the University of Wisconsin
- Stevens Point. We hope that you will join us for what should be,
as usual, a very interesting meeting.
Please also consider submitting a paper for presentation. Papers will
be considered in all areas of philosophy including issues in the teaching of
philosophy. The papers should be 10-15 pages and can be submitted electronically
(preferred) or by four double-spaced hard copies. The
selection will be by blind review of a committee of philosophers from Wisconsin,
and so we request that the cover page include the title and the author's name
and address, and that the author's name be omitted from the rest of the paper.
Please also indicate whether the submission is an undergraduate submission,
or a faculty/graduate student submission.
To encourage more discussion and also to provide time for more papers, we will
once again be using our unique format. Copies of the papers will be available
prior to the meeting on the WPA website, and instead of reading the papers,
presenters will be asked to provide a 10-15 minute informal summary of their
paper. This will allow for more discussion and hopefully, for more lively
and active sessions.
Papers should be submitted by February 1, 2010
