CASE STUDY PROGRESS REPORT

Periodically through the course (see syllabus), send to me as an email attachment (with your name on the attachment) progress reports about your case study. That submission should:

1. Identify the case you will be analyzing. Just a name, like “Chipko Movement.”

2. Specify the specific issues, aspects, or other limiting factors of the case that narrow the topic. This can be a paragraph or just a list. If this changes between one progress report and the next, rewrite this section accordingly.

3. Include a bibliography from a variety of types of sources. By variety I mean:

  • Books
  • Scholarly reference works (e.g., encyclopedias) (Note: Wikipedia does not count here)
  • Scholarly articles
  • Organizational websites
  • Newspaper or magazine articles
  • Relevant popular websites (For example, Wikipedia)

4. Include concerns, questions, or comments you'd like to add (no more than a short paragraph).

Put an asterisk (*) at the beginning of entries that you have added since the last update.

The bibliographic entries must have full and proper bibliographic citation. You can use MLA, Chicago, or APA. Note at the top of the bibliography which format you are using.

The initial report should be at least one page, but not more than two pages. As you go on, the number of bibliographic items will increase, so it should become longer.
