RESEARCH INTERESTS

Our lab is primarily interested in lymphatic filariasis, a tropical disease caused by mosquito-borne nematodes.  We study the interaction of the microfilaria stage of filarial nematodes with their arthropod vector, filarial transcriptomics, and also naturally occurring filarial parasites of Wisconsin wildlife.

1.  Differential lethality of the Culex pipiens pipiens midgut for filarial worms.

2.  Molecular determinants of microfilarial infectivity.

3.  Filarial parasites of wildlife.
