Student Collaborations
My main area of research work with students thus far has been the McNair Scholars program. So far I’ve directly mentored two students (the first of whom, Hope Schuhart, has since gone on to pursue a Ph.D. in Anthropology) and indirectly several others, mainly by providing methodological support but also helping with “sharpening” their research project theories and alerting them to alternative bodies of literature dealing with their areas of interest. I am working on a number of extramural research grants that would support the research projects discussed above. If awarded, these grants would make possible the hiring of students to perform research activities as part of this project.
