Vanessa Born
Expected Graduation: Spring 2013
Besides having a major in Environmental Studies, I also have a major in Secondary Education in Biology and a minor in Health Education. My goal is to combine these three elements into a curriculum where students will learn the complex interconnectedness of our world. My main interests are ecology, human anatomy and physiology, and reproductive health. I have a current GPA of 3.75 and am a member of Golden Key International Honour Society, the National Society of Leadership and Success, Student WEA, and Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education. When I am not working my butt off trying to graduate within six years, I enjoy spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, trapping, camping, and running. I have found running to be the most enjoyable activity because it clears my mind, keeps me healthy, and connects me to the environment when I am out on my favorite trail. After I graduate, I hope to find a job teaching in a public middle school and also qualify for the Boston Marathon.
