Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve
The Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve is a 775 acre  independent, nonprofit wildlife preserve and environmental education facility, located in Outagamie County. It provides educational and recreational opportunities to encourage persons of all ages to develop and practice a sound environmental ethic, which reflects an understanding and appreciation of nature. Bubolz not only can use volunteers, they also have work study positions through UWO. If you qualify for workstudy, you may be able to get paid to work at the preserve. Heckrodt Wetland Preserve
The task of operating the quality educational programs and restoration efforts at Heckrodt Wetland Reserve is much more than five staff members can undertake without the help of dedicated volunteers. The vision and enthusiasm of our friends have helped make HWR what it is today, and will continue to shape our growth in the future. As a volunteer, you will pParticipate in special activities, meet new friends with similar interests who feel as you do about the natural world, build confidence and self-esteem, be part of an organization that does positive things to make life better for people and for all creatures. Volunteer opportunities include:
>> Education assist with environmental education including field and classroom naturalist programs. Participate in the development of new environmental programs. Man the HWR information booth at special events
>> Stewardship assist in implementation of HWR stewardship goals for wetland and prairie restoration, preservation and management. Projects may include NatureCenter aquarium and terrarium maintenance, landscaping, and invasive species control.
>> Administrative provide administrative support for public interaction. Tasks may include copying, brochure folding, special mailings preparation, event photography, and library management.
>> Maintenance Assist in the upkeep of property and equipment including seasonal grounds projects, building maintenance, and trail maintenance.

Northeast Wisconsin Land Trust
NEWLT is an organization dedicated to the preservation of land. NEWLT is a non-profit, non-government organization that works through voluntary means to protect open land. Since its formation in 1996, the land trust has secured the permanent protection of over 1,000 acres of land typical of the best of our natural heritage. Northeast Wisconsin Land Trust is dedicated to preserving and restoring the rich natural heritage of our region. NEWLT is offering a variety of volunteering opportunities including leading field trips, map-making, photography for events, graphic design of brochures, helping maintain relationships with landowners, fundraising, in-office assistance, and serving as a committee member.

Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters
Our statewide volunteer network of grassroots activists and other folks committed to Wisconsin 's environment is our greatest asset. We're always looking for volunteers to help with electoral activities, fundraising events, and general office assistance. In addition, we're actively seeking interns (for credit) to assist with grassroots organizing and database work. Woodland Dunes Nature Center
Volunteer opportunities at Woodland Dunes Nature Center would include environmental education during the spring and fall elementary school programs as well as invasive species control, habitat management, and the development of native plants and butterfly exhibits.
