Government Agencies
Many students would like a career with the DNR or other governmental agency. Want to boost your chances of getting those jobs? Volunteer with one of them, and get hands-on experience, demonstrate your commitment, and network!
Department of Natural Resources
Want to work for the DNR? Volunteer! There are lots of different options.
East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning
Commission
There are a number of different volunteer opportunities that
the UWO students could get involved in ranging from volunteering some hours
with the Clean Boats Clean Waters program to participating in aquatic invasive species
lake monitoring within the Winnebago Pool lakes. We can also be creative
and find ways to volunteer like developing composting sites for the aquatic
vegetation, zebra mussel removal/reuse, or educational outreach opportunities
where the Oshkosh students help man booths for teaching conference participants
about AIS.

lifetime career, receive training, earn academic credit, work on
conservation activities in your
community, and help conserve natural resources for future generations.
National Wildlife Refuges
Wisconsin has some great wildlife refuges, such as Horicon NWF and Necedah NWF. Find out about volunteering for them.
