About ERIC

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh established the Environmental Research & Innovation Center (ERIC) as a division of the College of Letters & Sciences to serve as a research and testing center for campus, the general public and external partners to work for environmental health, evaluate materials for biogas potential, perform groundbreaking research in solids management and conduct a variety of custom research projects.

ERIC is committed to meeting client needs while training future scientists in the fields of ecology, environmental and public health, biology, limnology and microbiology.

Objective

ERIC’s overall mission is to offer customized scientific research and testing to the broader community practicing the Wisconsin Idea. The ERIC offers a breadth of knowledge and expertise across multiple disciplines, the ability to develop and execute custom testing procedures, and access to state-of-the-art laboratories.
