About Us

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh has established the Environmental Research & Innovation Center (ERIC) as a division of the College of Letters & Sciences to serve as a research and testing center for campus member and external partners to scientifically test water samples, evaluate materials for biogas potential and conduct a variety of custom research projects. ERIC is committed to serving the needs of external clients while training future scientists in the fields of ecology, environmental and public health, biology, limnology and microbiology through its work.

Objective

ERIC's overall objective is to become a self-supporting business organization in the area of scientific testing and serve the broader community. The breadth of knowledge and expertise across multiple disciplines, the ability to develop and execute custom testing procedures, access to state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment across multiple disciplines, and lower cost execution by using highly motivated and trained student resources all provide significant advantages we utilize to achieve clients' long-term goals.
