Insight Into Harry Potter

Does good fantasy literature give readers insight not only into fantasy worlds but also into our own world? In this class we'll read essays that examine the philosophical and psychological truths embedded in great fantasy literature like the Harry Potter series, The Lord of the Rings, and the Narnia Chronicles. To understand the essays, students will need to know the basic plots and characters of the Harry Potter stories.
