Museum and Library Science

Museum and Library Science The Bureau of Labor and Statistics states that library science "involves analyzing users' needs to determine what information is appropriate and searching for, acquiring, and providing the information. The job also includes an instructional role, such as showing users how to find and evaluate information." The BLS goes on to say that a Masters of Library Science is required in order to become a librarian.

Those who plan to go into Library Science with a bachelor's degree have the option of a career as a Library Technician or Library Assistant. The BLS states that Library Technicians and Assistants "help librarians acquire, prepare, and organize materials and assist users in locating the appropriate resources."

An English degree is also a great background for work as a museum curator; however, the BLS states a position as a full-time curator will most likely require more than a bachelor's degree.
