Readings, discussions, and assignments will revolve around topics of food and sustainability. For example, we will explore how aspects of food production and consumption interrelate with environmental, social, and economic issues. Focusing on food and sustainability will provide us with opportunities to learn more about how the combination of cultivation, distribution, and availability of food influences national and international policies and practices. These ideas and perceptions will help us engage with challenging social, economic, and environmental questions and consider creative solutions that address food and sustainability.
