University of Wisconsin Oshkosh alumnus Thomas Taraska ’75, was presented the Russ Young Leadership and Achievement Award at the February dinner, sponsored by the Titan Touchdown Club. The award honors an individual who has demonstrated the ideals of former UWO Football Coach Russ Young. Check out photos from the event.

Students planning to graduate at the end of the fall 2012 semester enjoyed a free lunch Dec. 4 at the historic Pollock Alumni House. Sponsored by the Alumni Association and University Books & More, the lunch introduces the University’s newest grads to their alumni benefits, such as a free email account, job search tools and a variety of discounts.

The 2012 alumni award winners were honored at a dinner, sponsored by the UW Oshkosh Alumni Association, on Friday, Oct. 12, as part of 2012 Homecoming activities. Nearly 300 University of Wisconsin Oshkosh alumni took part in the 2012 All-Greek Reunion, held in conjunction with Homecoming. Some folks came from great distances to take part in the festivities. J. T. Moore ’72 and MSE ’73, traveled from Hawaii and his sons came from Israel to attend the event. Check out the photos from the All-Greek Reunion Celebration on Saturday night at Reeve Memorial Union.

A special re-photography project is taking a unique then-and-now look at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s growth and campus life during its 140th anniversary year.

The project, which involves reshooting — and, in some cases, recreating — scenes and moments of campus life throughout the institution’s 140 years, will continue throughout the 2011-2012 academic year. Student photographers will be helping reshoot and recreate photos, expanding the re-photography catalog.
