51 Elaine (Viestenz) Gabriel (EHS), of Antigo, operates Grandview Orchard, an apple orchard in Langlade County.

59 Alice Schmidt (EHS), who celebrated her 80th birthday on July 4, served as parade marshal for the Independence Day celebration in Columbus.

63 Richard Novitske (EHS), retired Appleton elementary teacher, volunteers for several Fox Valley organizations.

64 Peter Martyn (LS) is retired from active pastoral ministry and now volunteers as the associate director for donor relations for Lutheran Homes Society and serves as a grief specialist.

65 Mary Rath (EHS), who retired 12 years ago as a principal with Racine Unified School District, works as a substitute principal, develops educational plans and encourages children with their physical rehabilitation exercises at the local pool.

66 Roger Korinek (EHS) is celebrating his 45th year as a history teacher for St. Mary’s Springs Academy High School in Fond du Lac.

67 William ‘Bill’ Helmuth (EHS) was inducted into the Central Wisconsin Baseball Hall of Fame. He spent 30 years as head baseball coach at Merrill High School, coached the Merrill Post 46 American Legion team for 20 years and played for UW Oshkosh for four seasons.

68 William ‘Bill’ Kringel (LS) and ’70 (MSE), a retired colonel from the Alabama Army National Guard, is the new state chairman of the Alabama Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves.

69 Nova (Bostwick) Mijal (EHS) retired from Loganville Elementary School. Mijal began her teaching career in 1969, with the Appleton Area School District, before moving to Reedsburg.

70 Hans-Peter Kohlhoff (EHS) received an award in Boston for his service on the National Executive Committee of the American Association of Teachers of German.

71 Jeffrey Zriny (LS) is the Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce executive director.

73 Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ (Tolbert) Luecking (EHS), staff liaison for the Commission on Veterans Affairs and Disabilities for Montgomery County Government in Rockville, Md., introduced legislation to give hiring preference to veterans and people with disabilities.

74 Gordon Meicher (B), of Middleton, has been honored by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as one of 14 recipients of the 2010 Outstanding Discussion Leader Award.

75 Janice (Sipple) Dinerstein (N), of Effingham, Ill., an independent nurse case manager, earned a master’s degree in human relations from the University of Oklahoma. She is a retired lieutenant colonel from the U.S. Air Force and a retired adjunct professor from Olney Central College in Illinois.

76 Steven Brown (LS), a juvenile court intake worker for Brown County Human Services, was recognized by the Juvenile Court Intake Association as Outstanding Intake Worker of the Year for the State of Wisconsin.

77 Suzanne ‘Sanny’ Oberhauser (MSE) and her husband, Pete, long-time residents of Clintonville, were recognized by the Clintonville Lions Club for their distinguished and dedicated volunteer service to the community.

78 Selene Finch (EHS) and ’84 (MS), a faculty member at the University of Phoenix in Appleton, has published her dissertation study, “A Qualitative Phenomenological Analysis of Modern Communication: Instant Messaging’s Importance for Adolescent and Young Adults.”

79 Karin (Engelmann) Marshall (N), an infection control nurse for Select Specialty Hospital in Pensacola, Fla., retired from the Navy after 21 years of service in 2000.

81 Peter Mersberger (EHS), Marilyn Mersberger (EHS) ’81, and son Josh Mersberger (B) ’09, run Mersberger Financial Inc. in Sheboygan Falls. Their youngest son, Zachary, joined the business, after graduating from UW Oshkosh in 2011.

83 John Casper (LS), president and chief executive officer of Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce, was elected the Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce Executives Association’s board president for 2011.

84 Mary Edwards (MSE) is the author and illustrator of The Deer and the Naturalist: Dreamwork and the Spiritual Journey.

85 Scott Schroeder (LS), an attorney from Janesville, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Wisconsin Association for Justice for a two-year term.

86 Lynn (Zickuhr) Kleman (LS), of Oshkosh, is the executive director of the Community Health Network (CHN) Foundation in Berlin.

87 Susan Shulfer (MBA) is the human resources director for Delta Dental of Wisconsin in Stevens Point.

88 Craig Dickman (MBA), and Doug Mueller ’90 (MBA), recently moved their business, Breakthrough Fuel, to the newly renovated Milwaukee Road train station in Green Bay.

89 Debra (Johnson) Malesevich (EHS), founder of the Telemark Educational Foundation, was named director of administration and programming at the Cable Natural History Museum in Cable.

94 Andrew ‘Andy’ Hengst (B) is a client service administrator in Oshkosh for Clifton Gunderson LLP.

95 Daniel Golla (LS) and his brother Jason (LS) ’95, perform on their new Dart 76, Red Vinyl Premium CD. Daniel recorded and produced the collection of 10 original rock songs.

96 Joelle (Jensen) Fellinger (N) is a board-certified clinical nurse specialist in adult psychiatric and mental health nursing for ThedaCare Behavioral Health in Menasha.

97 Lisa Weiss (EHS) and ’04 (MSE), a literacy coach at Oshkosh North High School, achieved National Board Certification in 2010 from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.

98 Janel (Werth) Hauser (EHS), a Freedom High School freshman English and honors English teacher since 2002, will receive the 2011 Lawrence Award for Outstanding Teaching in Wisconsin. Recipients of this award are nominated by former students who are now Lawrence University seniors.

98 Nicole (Korb) Egnarski (N), of Pulaski, is the staff development coordinator at the Shawano Medical Center, where she specializes in nursing education, medical and surgical nursing and orthopedics.

99 Emily (Wirkus) Lund (LS) painted the 2010 Christmas ornament for the Rosendale Historical Society. It featured the building currently used as the society’s museum and headquarters.

00 Karen (Roe) Kling (LS) and her husband, Nathan, were awarded the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation’s Young Farmer and Agriculturist Achievement Award in December 2010.

01 Tabatha Frerks (MBA) lives in Plover, where she runs her own general contracting company, T. Frerks Construction.

02 David Rowe (EHS), the Department of Natural Resources fisheries team supervisor in Poynette, is responsible for managing the fishery resources and coordinating DNR fishery operations in Columbia and Sauk counties.

03 Nicole Bahn (B) and ’07 (MBA), a business banker and credit department leader at First National Bank, is the recipient of the Prochnow Education Foundation/Wisconsin Bankers Association Scholarship.

04 Jodie (Hosmer) Burton (B) was promoted to disability/benefits coordinator for the benefits department at Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation in Appleton.

05 Nathan Miller (EHS), former UW Oshkosh Titan basketball player, is head varsity basketball coach at Omro.

06 Tyler Christensen (LS) wrote the script and produced and directed a new movie, The House of Purgatory, which completed filming in Green Bay in November 2010.

07 Bobbie (Mahn) Henschel (EHS) was named the 2010 Early Childhood Special Education Teacher of the Year by the Wisconsin Division for Early Childhood and the Wisconsin Early Childhood Association. She works at H.B. Patch Elementary School in Omro.

08 Rebecca ‘Becky’ Giblin (LS) is interning as a stitcher and first hand for the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Santa Maria, Calif., and will become a staff technician and draper for the organization.

09 Kyla Morris (LS) returned to Random Lake High School to speak to students about her experiences as a production assistant for CBS TV’s CSI: Miami.

10 Adam Helms (MPA) was hired as the performance and information services administrator for Hamilton, Ohio, in November 2010. Previously, Helms was the assistant administrator for the village of Howard.

11 Jacob Rostermundt (LS) is a visitation specialist at Children’s Service Society of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
