Register for a class?

I'm Not a Student In The Program -- Registering for Classes as a Special Student

If you have not been accepted into the program, you can register for classes as a special student. Simply fill out the class registration form found on the Office of Graduate Studies Forms and Publications page http://www.uwosh.edu/gradstudies/forms_pubs/index.php or their Registration page http://www.uwosh.edu/gradstudies/registration/index.php

Mail the completed form back to the Office of Graduate Studies (address is on form). Why not invite a friend to attend class with you. You can carpool together!

I'm a Student in the Program -- Registering for Classes

You will register for your classes online via TitanWeb. Look for the TitanWeb logo on the UW Oshkosh homepage to log on. http://www.uwosh.edu/tw/

You can also fill out a paper registration form (see above for address), if you want.

Please be sure to register well before the semester starts as we must cancel low enrollment classes. Low enrollment is defined as classes with less than 10 students. So, don't delay, register at least three weeks before the start of the semester.

I'm a Library/Media Licensure Only Student

Note: You must be accepted into the library/media licensure program if you are working on this licensure (unless you are an undergraduate and this is your minor)

View the schedule of classes being offered each semester?

Though it's not difficult when you get the hang of it, the process requires some images to illustrate the way...therefore, the Registrar has created a word document for you to print and have beside you until you master the process.

Get into my "official university" email and then forward my mail somewhere else?

It's important that you periodically check your UW Oshkosh email account as this is where all official information will go - you wouldn't want to miss out on graduating because you didn't respond to the Registrar in a timely fashion.  For a handy pdf file explaining how to log in initially and then forward your email to another account click here.

BEWARE: The requirements for your password have been changed and are not noted in the above file.

The NEW requirements for email passwords are ably described by Polk Library as follows:

  • At least 7 characters
  • Not a word found in the system dictionary
  • Not the same as the username
  • No consecutive same characters
  • At least one character from three of the following categories:
    • Upper Case (A-Z)
    • Lower Case (a-z)
    • Numbers (1-9)
    • Special characters (!@#$%^&*_+,-./)

Valid examples:

  • abcDef7 (1-upper case, 5-lower case, 1-number)
  • R@berts (1-upper case, 5-lower case, 1-special character)
  • @Bcdefg (1-upper case, 5-lower case, 1-special character)
  • A@a5678 (1-upper case, 1-lower case, 4-numbers, 1-special character)

  • Abcde77 (1-upper case, 4-lower case, 2-numbers) but the 2-numbers are consecutive same characters.
  • @bcdefg (6-lower case, 1-special character) but only two of the four categories were used.
