CRITICAL INCIDENT STRESS MANAGEMENT (CISM):

University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and the Employee Assistance Program sponsor a Critical Incident Stress Management team comprised of University faculty, staff and students specifically trained to intervene when there is a crisis on campus that could result in individuals being traumatized. The team of trained staff volunteers offers its services to the community as well. Critical Incident Stress Management offers special programs and strategies to prevent and prepare for a critical incident. The team provides on-scene support and critical incident stress debriefing. This information has been adapted and revised to be relevant to our employee community.
