The first annual Oshkosh Dragonboat Race & Festival was held Sept. 23, 2006. Thirty teams participated in this community event designed to celebrate education, family, culture and the waterways of Oshkosh. The event continued to grow in the following years. 2007 drew 45 teams and 2008 brought 49 teams to the Fox River for a full day of racing and family activities.
