AeroInnovate provides help to aeroinnovators from across the globe who are starting and growing aero-related businesses and bringing related new technologies to the marketplace. AeroInnovate brings innovators together, brings new technology to the forefront, creates opportunities to share ideas, and provides a platform to bring investors and industry leaders together with start up efforts. AeroInnovate also serves as a catalyst to regional economic development in the aviation sector attracting new aviation-related start-up companies to the region and providing them with valuable resources through its services and with EAA as the main backdrop.
AeroInnovate’s work focuses on educating tomorrow’s aeroinnovators, aligning investors and industry leaders with quality opportunities, exposing new aero-related technologies to the world, and providing valuable networking opportunities for all involved through its business center and website.
AeroInnovate was conceptualized in 2007 by a small group of diverse people working for and with the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh including its co-directors Meridith Jaeger and Kurt Waldhuetter. AeroInnovate is currently supported by UW Oshkosh through the Business Success Center.

AeroInnovate 2011 – The Numbers
7 days. We expanded from 1 day at EAA’s AirVenture in 2009 and 2010 to all 7 days in 2011.
1,000’s AirVenture had over 550,000 attendees this year. We had several thousand people come through our 1200 ft• business center, technology showcase and display.
13 We showcased the technology of 13 companies from around the world, two from Wisconsin.
5 interns from UW Oshkosh were heavily involved with helping us. More students from UW Green Bay and UW Oshkosh helped a Wisconsin company through AeroInnovate conduct early market assessment interviews at EAA.
420 Over 420 entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders attended our forums. $25M Special guest, Kassimer Piperkov of ICON Aircraft spoke to the audience on how they closed on their recent $25 million dollar Series C investment round as a consumer aircraft company.
