Hello from ASB Honduras group!


My name is Ashley Trad. I am a sophomore here at University of Wisconsin Oshkosh pursuing a degree in Nursing. I am excited for this opportunity to develop my own leadership skills while empowering leadership of youth in Honduras.

My name is Carly Manske and I am a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I will be graduating in May 2013 with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Social Justice with a emphasis on Prejudice and Discrimination. This will be my first international trip ever! I am very excited to work with the Hondurian youth and develop their skills to further their education. I am also thrilled to have the chance to see a different culture from my own;  I know this will be a great learning experience.

Hey everyone, my name is Dan Meyer and I am a sophomore and an athletic training major at UW-Oshkosh. This is my first time out of the country and I couldn’t be happier that it is a leadership based trip helping others. I cannot wait to get to Honduras and help out the children and young adults of El Progreso.

Hi everyone, I’m Kevin Kropp.  I’m very excited to be heading to Honduras.  I’m looking forward to being in a new environment and enhancing my world-view.  I think it will be a great trip.

Hey! My name is Allie Kleinhans. Im a sophomore going to school for Marketing with a sales emphasis and minoring in spanish. Im hoping to get a better sense of the world from this trip. Im excited to work with the children, meet new people and travel to a whole new country. I can wait to share our experiences with everyone and bring back what we learned to the community!

Less than 2 weeks until Honduras and I am pumped! My name is Angie Dusenberry and I did this trip in the hopes of making the best out of my sophomore year! I’m excited to see what this 10 day trip will bring and how I will grow as a person. And of course, I can’t wait to hang out with the kids!

Hey everybody! I’m Allysa Kerscher, a Junior here at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the Bachelor of Social Work program. I grew up in the little town of Florence, WI on the border of the Upper Peninsula. I am incredibly excited for this amazing volunteer opportunity with 9 other amazing people that share the same passion for helping low income children develop leadership skills and find the importance of education. I’m really looking forward to this experience and learning about another culture especially because this is the first time I will be traveling to another country! Hi, my name’s Matthew. I’m in my fourth year studying early childhood and elementary education  with focuses on English as a Learning Language and music. I am drawn to teaching in an urban setting with volunteering and connecting with the community of which I teach in. My hobbies include traveling and learning about language and culture, music, biking, cooking, and reading.
