Hello, Fletcher Hall (aka my “Second Home”)

Posted by & filed under Blog.

“Home away from home.” If you’re planning on living on campus, you’ll more than likely start referring to UW Oshkosh like this… trust me.

I have made the mistake of asking my parents to bring me back home (to Oshkosh) only to get glares from my mother. Sorry, mom. While I do love “home-home,” life at Fletcher Hall is pretty great too.

Fletcher Hall is one of the three residence halls that make up the NBC Village—an all-freshman community. It houses both males and females in separate wings. A few features that add a little character to good ol’ Fletcher included disconnected basements and a few “mini” four-room hallways.

My roommate and I currently occupy a room on the 2nd floor, which I will sincerely miss as the second semester comes to a close. In less than two weeks, I’ll be saying goodbye to Fletcher Hall and I’ll be making my way over to Taylor Hall for my sophomore year at UW Oshkosh.

Want to catch of glimpse of my home-sweet-home? I’d love to show you around… without further ado, I introduce to you: Fletcher Hall. (If you click a photo, it will open in a gallery. Then, hover over each photo for a description.)

Now that you have the inside look at one of our halls, are there any other halls you’d like to learn more about? Are there any burning questions you’ve been wanting to ask about residence life? This is the perfect place to get some answers!
