MPA Program

MPA Faculty

MPA program full-time faculty consists of four productive scholars with extensive experience teaching public administration classes to adult learners. All core courses are taught by full-time MPA Program faculty. Other UW-Oshkosh faculty members teach some of the elective courses.

Craig S. Maher

Ph.D. in Political Science, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (1995), Public Policy and Finance.

Dr. Maher regularly teaches the following courses:
State and Local Politics (MPA 726)
Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods (MPA 732)
Public Budgeting and Finance (MPA 752)
Revisiting Bureaucracy (MPA 797)

Dr. Maher was recently appointed to Wisconsin Governor Doyle's Talsk Force on Milwaukee County Finances, and to the National League of Cities and Urban Institutes' Legislating for Results Advisory Board, in addition to being an elected official on the Wauwatosa Common Council. He is widely published in the field of public finance.

Dr. Nollenberger is a former city/county manager and served as President of the International City/County Management Association in 1994-95.
