Dr. Vreven uses psychophysical and computational methods to examine human visual information processing. Her research focuses on the perception of depth and motion. Dr. Vreven'smost recent work addresses how neurons in the visual cortex integrate visual information over space and time. Dawn Vreven received a B.Sc. from Michigan State University in 1991 and an M.A. from Central Michigan University in 1994. She received her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Brown University in 1999 under the direction of Leslie Welch, Ph.D. Dr. Vreven then completed her post-doctoral work at the Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute under the supervision of Dr. Preeti Verghese. Dawn is a member of the Vision Sciences Society, the American Psychological Society, and Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society.

Dr. Vreven joined the Psychology faculty at UWO in 2002. She teaches Cognitive Psychology, Statistics, and Perception.
