I/O Faculty Descriptions
The program typically has three full-time and two part-time faculty members who have degrees in I/O psychology. In addition, there are a number of other I/O, human resources and organizational behavior faculty on campus who contribute to the program by teaching and participating on thesis committees and consulting teams.
Gary A. Adams, Ph.D.
I/O Program Director
Gary A. Adams received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, a master’s degree in I/O psychology from Illinois State University and a doctorate in I/O psychology from Central Michigan University. His research interests include older workers, work-family conflict and occupational stress. He has given more than 45 presentations and published more than 20 journal articles, a book and several book chapters. He has worked as a human resource manager and served as a consultant to a variety of organizations. He is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychologists, American Psychological Society and the Academy of Management.
Mahesh Subramony, Ph.D.
Mahesh Subramony is Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh. His research program examines the effect of employee-organization relationships on key business outcomes including customer-satisfaction and labor productivity. Research questions that he has attempted to answer include: does organizational investment in providing competitive pay affect key employee-related and business outcomes?; do employee- and customer-attitudes affect each other over time?; and why do organizations choose to make (or not make) human resource investments? He received his Ph.D. in I/O Psychology from Central Michigan University and an MA degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Delhi, India. Prior to joining the program, he worked for two Fortune 500 companies in their HR function, and remains interested in applied topics, such as workforce metrics and change management. Dr. Subramony is an active member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychologists (SIOP) and the Academy of Management.

Carrie Duehring, M.S.
Carrie is in the training department at Kimberley-Clark. While her teaching is primarily at the undergraduate level, she is an important resources for our graduate students.
