Consistent with the philosophy that researchers must give something back to the countries where their research is conducted, UW students present brief programs in the small Belize villages and distribute school and health supplies to the children. Students have ample opportunity to interact with representatives from the diverse cultures of Belize including regular contact with Spanish-speaking Mestizos, Mayans, and Creoles.
