In 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2004, teams of UW Oshkosh students traveled to Belize, a small Central American country, to study black Howler monkeys. Plans are being developed for another team to return to Belize during 2005. Black Howlers, a threatened species, are only found in Belize, Guatemala, and southern Mexico.
