Employment Opportunity

The Department of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in international relations and comparative politics, starting September 2008.  Responsibilities include teaching, advising majors and service.  Preference will be given to candidates who are prepared to teach upper-division courses in international security, international political economy, and global environmental politics as well as introduction to international relations. The successful candidate will be able to teach our required course on research methods. This position is open as to subfield and regional specialty, but the department already has strengths in international organization, European and Latin American politics. The department prefers candidates with Ph.D. in hand or ABDs soon to defend their dissertations.
