It gives me the opportunity to make a positive difference with an injured athlete to promote encouraging recovery. I also look forward to providing education to athletes in the area of injury prevention and performance enhancement to bring the athlete up to their greatest playing potential.

Why I Came to UWO:

It was close to my home town which is important to me because I am very close to my family. It is also a smaller college and is very personable. With having one of the top programs in the state for Athletic Training I wanted to make sure I received the best education possible for my future profession.

Why I Enjoy Athletic Training:

I’ve played sports all my life and having been being on the other end of injuries and realizing how important Athletic Trainers are, I’ve wanted to become one to help other athletes and also stay involved in athletics too. The one thing that I really enjoy is the fact that each day can bring different adventures to you, and that you are always seeing and helping new people.

Athletic Training is a profession that allows you to work one-on-one with a patient, while still maintaining a relaxed environment. Also, you never know what a patient coming in will have, which keeps the job interesting.
