ANNOUNCEMENT
LIST
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

LIST PURPOSE: This email list is
provided as a means
to efficiently disseminate information and announcements of interest to
the statewide body of college and university musicians, musician
educators,
music researchers, and music teacher educators. Any member of the list
may post an email announcement to the list. The list is intended as an
announcement list, but not as a forum for discussion. Since the list
membership
is statewide, announcements of local interest should be distributed in
another more appropriate manner. This statement of purpose will be
enforced
by the list's moderator. Removal from the list or termination of the
list
may occur if the moderator determines that cause exists.

LIST MAINTENANCE: Each Fall, Wisconsin
music department
chairs or other unit leaders will be invited to contribute an updated
compilation
of email addresses for the music faculty and staff at their
institutions.
Interested parties may also subscribe to the list independently. List
members
may unsubscribe at any time. To avoid potential misuse, names and email
addresses of list members will not be made available except by special
request from the list's owner/moderator. Individual email addresses of
those subscribed will not be posted online, nor will they be attached
to
posted messages.

HOW TO USE THE LIST: To subscribe,
unsubscribe, change
an address, or request help with the list, visit the list's home page
at
http://www.uwosh.edu/departments/music/wmea/research/, or email the
request
to musichighered-owner@lists.uwosh.edu. To send a message or reply to
the
entire list, address the message to musichighered@lists.uwosh.edu. To
respond
only to the sender of a posted message, use the "reply" function of
your
email application.
