jULIANNE BAIRD, SOPRANO
Thursday, November 8, 2007
Julianne Baird, soprano, recognized internationally for her virtuosic vocal style, has been hailed by The New York Times as a “… national artistic treasure … a well-nigh peerless performer in the repertory of the baroque … she possesses a natural musicianship, which engenders singing of supreme expressive beauty.” She maintains a busy concert and recording schedule of solo recitals and performances of baroque opera and oratorio. With more than 125 recordings to her credit, Baird is one of the world’s ten most recorded classical artists.
Baird’s program, Benjamin Franklin’s Musical World, will integrate
music and narrative. The program celebrates the famous founding father’s
special love of music.
