Calculator: A graphing calculator is required. The recommended calculator forthis class is the TI-83 Plus Graphic calculator. Bring your calculator to class every day.
Prerequisites
67-104 or 67-108 with a grade of C or above. Credit cannot be earned for both 67-107 and 67-201.
Coverage
Course Most sections of chapters 1- 8.
Evaluation
Exam: There will be 3 exams each worth 100 points.
Tentative Dates:
Exam 1 week of February 27
Exam 2 week of April 10
Exam 3 on May 12
Make-ups for missed exams will be available only in very special circumstances. You must call before the scheduled exam in order for a make up to be considered.
Quizzes
There will be many short quizzes (about 10 - 15 minutes long). Quizzes must be taken at the time they are scheduled in class, i.e., quizzes cannot be taken early or made up at a later time.
Homework
Homework will be assigned for each section. These problems will not be collected for grading but used for discussion.
Attendance
Attendance will be taken in each class. If absent, it is your responsibility to obtain the missed lecture notes and to do the assignment. Those having 3 or more unexcused absences will be penalized.
