COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course will cover Chapters 1 – 5, 7 – 9 of the text. The primary focus of the course is an introduction to probability models and statistical methods most likely to be encountered by students in natural sciences.
EXAMS
There will be three examinations, scheduled exam dates are tentative:

Each student is expected to attend classes regularly and make-up tests will not be given except when the student has a valid reason for the absence.
HOMEWORK
Problems from the text will be assigned each day. The solutions to the assigned problems are due at the beginning of the next class period. Late solutions WILL NOT be accepted.
