About the course: We will cover chapters 9-13.

Technology Calculator: The TI-83 plus (preferred), TI-84, TI-86, or TI-85 Graphing Programming Calculator is required. TI-89 and TI-92 will not be allowed on exams and quizzes.

Software:   UWO has acquired a full site license for Maple. The software Maple can be accessed using PC or Mac at any computer lab on campus.

Homework: Homework will be assigned regularly. But will not be collected. 80% of the problems on the quizzes, exams and final are very similar to the homework problems.

Grading:  There will be four exams, nine quizzes and projects.  Make-up exams will be given only in unusual circumstances (e.g., severe or prolonged illness, death in family, etc.) and you will be asked to provide a doctor's excuse. If a make-up exam is allowed, it may contain a different number of questions and/or different types of questions.    Under no circumstances will a student be allowed to make up more than one exam.
