Community Use of Polk Library Computing Facilities
Use of Polk Library's computing facilities is intended for UW Oshkosh students, faculty, and staff. [1]
Polk Library grants limited privileges to community patrons to use the four library computers on Second Floor, if users abide by the following conditions.
- Agree to abide by the "University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Statement of Acceptable Use of Computing Resources." An example of inappropriate and prohibited use of library computing facilities is intentionally creating, displaying, printing, or transmitting information which violates the sexual harassment policy of the university.
- Agree to limit or discontinue use of library computing facilities if their use interferes with the use of these resources by UW Oshkosh students, faculty and staff.
- Agree to conform to copyright laws and the University's licensing agreements with commercial vendors of information. The use of some commercially supplied databases is restricted to UW Oshkosh students, faculty, and staff.
Oshkosh community members are encouraged to use the computing facilities at the Oshkosh Public Library.
Questions about this policy should be referred to Patrick J. Wilkinson, Director of Polk Library, Polk 204 A, 920.424.2147.
