Presentation Skills

Students working toward degrees in journalism must be able to present their work with confidence. Presentation and design skills are incorporated into many assignments students will complete in the journalism program’s courses. Advertising and public relations students are required to complete the PR Techniques and Ad Copy, Layout and Production classes. In these classes majors complete creative campaign projects often designed by professionals. After completing the pieces the student is often required to present them to peers and receive feedback. Journalism majors go on to use these skills in competition courses and in internships with media companies around the Oshkosh area.
