    Diversity Grant Available
    at High School Journalism Conference

    Who:

    Northeastern Wisconsin Scholastic Press Association (NEWSPA), an organization for the educational advancement of high school journalism students, and the Department of Journalism at UW-Oshkosh.

    What:

    Annual conference with nearly 50 sessions on writing, photography, media convergence, and more.

    When:

    Wednesday, April 21, 2010

    Where:

    University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the Reeve Memorial Union and in the Department of Journalism.

    Why:

    Minority students who work on a high school publication or are simply interested in journalism are welcome to participate. A diversity grant will pay the registration fee for two minority students who are American Indian or Alaska native, African-American, Asian or Pacific Islander, or Hispanic from each school. The grant will also pay for one minority adviser from each school.

    How to participate:

    Please fill out a registration form for each minority student and adviser. The conference registration materials are sent to member schools or you can download a copy (regular PDF | electronic form PDF).
